About

Scholarly rigor, translated into digital presence.

Danlio Studio is led by Dan Li, dual PhD, former tenure-track professor, and peer-reviewed researcher. We build scholar websites the way we build arguments: thesis, evidence, structure. The result is a flagship digital identity that feels native to academia yet converts like a modern product site.

Why academics choose Danlio Studio

Busy scholars juggle manuscripts, courses, grants, and service. The website gets postponed or flattened into a CV dump. We translate dense materials into a thesis-led story, build the structure to prove it, and hand it over with documentation your team can maintain.

Lead with the thesis

Every site opens with a clear promise and why it matters to the audiences you serve.

Surface the evidence

Publications, grants, teaching, and media are organized as proof, not buried in PDFs.

Structure for action

Pages guide students, collaborators, funders, and press toward the next step without friction.

Meet Dan Li

Dan earned dual PhDs in Informatics with a focus on data visualization and programming. She spent the early part of her career inside universities: teaching, maintaining lab and department websites, and preparing grant materials and public-facing briefs so research could travel beyond campus. Before launching Danlio Studio, she supported cross-campus initiatives in public scholarship and open education while mentoring fellows who needed a credible online presence fast.

Today we pair that inside-academia experience with product thinking and modern web tooling. Every project ships with clear messaging, resilient code, and practical handoffs so teams can continue publishing without calling in a developer for every update.

How we collaborate

Each engagement starts with a thesis exercise: why your work matters, to whom, and what proof is most persuasive. We run async-first using shared docs, Loom, and tight agendas so your calendar stays open for scholarship.

Weekly updates keep stakeholders aligned, and every recommendation is documented in accessible playbooks your communications, operations, or student staff can reference later.

What you launch with

  • - Thesis-first homepage, evidence panels, and audience pathways mapped to your goals.
  • - Accessible, version-controlled site built in Next.js with documentation you can extend.
  • - Analytics, SEO basics, and a post-launch playbook so updates never bottle-neck on a developer.
